On December 08, 2009, the Norwegian Ministry of Trade and Industry Delegation, headed by State Secretary H.E. Mr. Halvard Ingebrigtsen had a working visit with VASEP in Ha Noi. VASEP Standing Vice Chairman Dr. Nguyen Huu Dung received and works with the delegation.

At the meeting, both sides agreed that the close cooperation ties between Vietnamese and Norwegian enterprises have brought fruitful results, especially in marine aquaculture, importing seafood materials from Norway into Viet Nam for re-processing and re-exporting, researching and using vaccine for farmed Pangasius in Viet Nam, etc. Both sides also showed interests and considered the chances for further cooperation to make full use of their own advantages.

H.E. Mr. Halvard Ingebrigtsen said he was impressed by the rapid development of Vietnamese seafood industry, especially seafood exports, the production capacity and quality management of the local seafood processing sector. He paid special attention to push up exporting Norwegian salmon to Viet Nam for processing value-added-products, and for domestic consumption. (VietFishNews)
